"Glac Leis in The Recording studio"

New album is to be named "Reborn" or "Rebirth" ??!!

 

Glac Leis Were originally a band from County Clare that fused traditional Irish Music with Rock and Roll, and Folk music. Up until recently we had preserved that ethos, but now we are ready for a change. Glac Leis has a new line-up of band members, each with their own specific masterful styles on their given instruments.

 

 

To imagine the type of music we now play, you have to think of a band fusing Breton music with Bulgarian, Trad, Padraig Rynne/Tóla Custy tunes, with a bit of planxty and electric guitar thrown into the middle!

 

Our New Direction is either going to be amazing or terrible, and when our experimenting is done, we will emerge with a new recording based on what we learned in the process! Bye bye for now!

The instruments in the band and new members of the band are a secret as of yet! A lot of experimenting is being done before a definite group emerges! 

The old Glac Leis music is still being played at the moment, and is still highly experimental, but the band have taken tunes like "Sackow's" and revamped it with their own strange style, and it sounds good!

Trad as People know it is now dead! Murdered by "Traditionalists" that don't allow/accept change!

So contact us if you are in the Clare area and would like to enquire about us doing a gig/concert, and enjoy the music! (Our traditional music is also considered a very high priority, we are just giving this experimental scene a go to see how it turns out) :)
